What are you most proud of? How all the fabrics I pulled from my stash just seemed to mesh together so well. I doubt I could have done better had I gone out and purchased fabric specifically for it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? As Julie told me don't put two fabrics similar in color directly next to one another. I heeded her advice and it served me well. I did have 2 different reds kitty-corner from each other but that worked out okay in the end.

I really like this patriotic quilt!

I love it and it really intrigues me. I bought the twister tool a couple of weeks ago and am itching to use it!

I was not impressed the first few quilts that I saw made using the ruler until my friend Julie showed up with hers and then it sparked an interest. You will enjoy it and it goes together very fast. Just remember to not sew 2 similar colors next to each other because you won't see the pinwheels, contrast is the key or a lot of different fabrics.

Good advice, thanks :)

I really MUST get one of those twister thingies - this is a gorgeous quilt. I watched a "twister" tutorial on the internet recently and it looks quite easy, although I think there may be a lot of waste. Never mind - a bit more for my bursting scrap bag!

I have made 2 or 3 of these quilts now and they do sew up very fast. There was less waste than I initially thought there would be and in both cases I used the scraps on the back.
