I love to make the traditional Dresden block and have made many baby blankets using this block. Finally got the ruler and that made it easier to do.....Not sure about the modern one.

These are both gorgeous - I particularly like the modern block which has a real "whirlygig" look! Love the colours!

Your Dresden blocks look great, the way you use the fabric for the modern version gives it a wonderful feeling of movement.
