Julia Ward Howe Block

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Re-Piecing the Past: Civil War Blocks Then & Now »

Instructions

I had to trim my pinwheel square units to 2-1/2 inches before I could get the center unit to fit with the flying geese and for the block to finish at 12-1/2 inches.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

For: Home

Style: Traditional

What are you most proud of?

It took me three tries to get this one right, but third time's a charm.

Thanks -- it was a little tricky, but glad I made this one. Kaye's class was great. It's been my favorite so far...

Hi llhyman, your block is lovely, makes me think of a flower garden. What a job to do, but what a beautiful quilt this block alone would make.
