Pre-made wooden plaque, decorative door, lettering in circles, doll house barrels; stickers, spray paint including textured spray paint for back wall, opaque paint pens, permanent ink black pen, decoupaged and in some places applied slovenly to imply blocks of stone cut roughly

What was your inspiration?

Doing a personal Christmas gift for my children's friend.

What are you most proud of?

I was able to display Johns's likes, as he approaches graduating from college and loosing his closest friends as all scatter.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be aware of textures if doing similar subjects as mine. The 'block wall' was sprayed with textured spray paint and given extra decoupage to mimic stone or stucco, versus the smooth wooden door applications, etc. The overall project was 'tongue in cheek' and the subject was supposed to be like an old English castle door front and to me that 'read' as the following item.
