I am a watercolorist as well but don't paint this good. Still relatively new to it in the last year or so, I would love to be able to paint like this. I was examining your painting and wondered how you did the fur. Was wet on wet or dry? And did you use a smaller brush? Great job!

Thanks for your great question, Fluteladypaints! I am a teacher, so I'm always happy to answer questions. I actually painted this wet on dry paper using a #2 pointed-round brush. Yes, all those strokes are painstakingly done! To finish it, however, I used a dampened "scrubber" brush to blend the hairs so that they would look soft. I hope that answers your question.
