Saw Jenny do this on YouTube tutorial for the Missouri Star Quilt Co...its a double layer cake cut....easy as can be....cut it up and sewed the top together in about a day and a half....Difficulty:

Materials
Moda Nostalgia Layer cake plus yardage for the backing from Connecting Threads.com; plus jelly for the binding. Brought the Layer Cake over from Australia. Used Honey Bun in Nostalgia for the small border.
What was your inspiration?
I brought the fabric over from Australia over 12 months ago....wanted to make me something since I made 5 quilts for Xmas for everyone else!
What are you most proud of?
The different borders I used and the handsewn binding....its really beautiful and the photos don't really do it justice....Also: the beautiful dragon flies that the Missouri Star quilt co longarm quilted on it for me....they do the best work.....
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is very easy to do and you don't need to spend a lot of money - one layer cake - choose something that has light to mid range colors only....its goes together better...
