This is just a Dunkin Hines Butter Recipe. with a spoonful of mayo added to it for extra moistness. I do have buttercream underneath that is smoothed and then I chill it, helps with applying the fondant.

After doing many fondant cakes, I stick with marshmallow fondant. The real trick is: 1) make sure your fondant is not too thin, everything imperfection will show through. 1/8 of an inch is usually good, thinner and you'll start to see everything. 2) dam your cakes properly (use a heavy buttercream on the edge of each tier so that your filling doesn't squeeze through). The consistency of this buttercream should be very thick, Hope that helps.
