What was your inspiration?

The magazine article with this gorgeous quilt.

What are you most proud of?

This was my first quilt using batiks and I loved working with them! It took me a long time to gather all the fat quarters for this quilt, but it was fun collecting them and even more fun seeing the quilt come to life!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

If you are worried about your fabrics coordinating, go with batiks - they blend so nicely and look wonderful together!

This is a fantastic quilt! I love it. I prefer also batiks, because as a beginner I'm still a bit insecure choosing different fabric.

I have made the Snails Trail pattern many times, but never with a star block like you did. So pretty!
