Jennifer's Memory Quilt

What are you most proud of?
I learned about paper piecing with this project.
When my daughter, Jennifer, was ready to graduate with a Doctorate Degree in Education, and, after serving 12 years in the US Navy, I wanted to make a memory quilt for her life for her grad present. Each block represents a state or country in which she either lived or visited during her Naval career. I placed a picture between each of the sashing strips for each important event in her life. It began with a cardinal (representing Ohio - her beginning), and ended with Window to the Sky block, and her university colors when she recently graduated, spanning almost 4 decades.
What a wonderful idea. It's a beautiful design. I sure choosing 1 design for each location was a challenge. Thank you for sharing.
It was a challenging project; it took me 18 months to complete. Thank you.
