What was your inspiration?

A friend of mine, who is just the sweetest person I know, was having a baby!

What are you most proud of?

I'm extremely happy the border turned out the way it did. I started and completed this in several days!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Have patience. A big ol' Granny Square can seem like a daunting task. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and those sides get longer and longer. If you're like me and do granny squares because you can set smaller goals and then sew them together, this bigger one will take a bit longer!

The border takes patience as well. When I first started working on it, I ripped it out several times, especially at the corners, until it looked just how I wanted it.

Is there a pattern, especially for the border? I see the center is a granny, but the border squares?

I'm working on writing it. It's just one of those things I've always done so I just never think about it. As soon as I get it written, I'll post it for you!!!
