Quilting Quickly: Patterns, Techniques & Tips »

Instructions

These were really simple and probably took me a day to complete each one. I made a Halloween quilt for each of my granddaughters out of one layer cake and a matching charm pack and a little extra yardage. I started them at the beginning of September, sent them off to be quilted, and had them bound and ready to put on their beds on the first of October.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Children

Style: Cute

Materials

One layer cake, one charm pack and additional matching yardage for borders and binding

What are you most proud of?

I made coordinating pillow cases while the quilts were off being quilted from Jenny's YouTube tutorial on quick tube pillow cases, and they turned out great, too. Unfortunately, everything left my house so quickly, I forgot to take pictures of them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it. All these quilting projects are super simple and turn out wonderfully well. You can bet I'm going to start collecting precuts so I can make some more quick quilts.
