What was your inspiration?

I loved the Ermeline hooded cardigan I designed for my daughters... and really wanted one for me too !! To prepare for the final hooded cardigan (which will be available very soon as well) I made this hooded capelet as an in-between project...

I love wearing it, keeps my shoulders warm. There's something quite magical in feeling this super looooong hood in my back. Brings back the animal instinct inside maybe... ;-)

What are you most proud of?

The long hood, the way I inserted the granny triangles.. but also the pretty bobble edging along the bottom (a first in all my designs so far) as it really adds a lot to the general look and balance of the piece.

I also love that my super-cool friend wanted one the minute she saw it :-D

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Relax and enjoy. It's going to be fun, both to crochet... and even more to wear !! :-)

So cool, medieval looking. I think kids would really catch on to this...two thumbs up.
