Category: Sewing
Type of item: Accessory
For: Women
Style: Traditional
Materials
left over jeans pieces - from when you get new jeans and take them up.
What was your inspiration?
wanted a new bag but didn't want to buy one
What are you most proud of?
the finished item - after I had adjusted the first one that I made and it didn't look quite right. It wasn't quite big enough so added some more pieces and then just adjusted the inside lining.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
get all your bits together (but not stretch material) , as you sew them together lay out the seams flat and then use a large stitch to zigzag the seam flat. Also get a couple of zips and create some pockets on the lining before stitching to the outside piece. Add a buckle to one side of the bag and then add a flap to the other.
