What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It's good to first watch the video and understand the techniques used before getting started.
I also first made the separate little pockets before starting on the bag. I finished the raw upper edges of the pockets by using a zigzag stitch because my pockets would be visible either way you turned the bag.
Another thing I did different was making the handles longer and matching them to the fabric.
