What materials did you use? This beautiful fabric is an Italian silk/cotton blend, purchased from A Common Thread in Austin, TX. Interfacing is Pro Weft Medium Weight from Pam Erny.

What are you most proud of? The speed and accuracy with which I made it. This does have a lot of top-stitching ( so purchase extra thread), and this is a great pattern to practice that skill. Lots of straight lines to be edge-stitched and top-stitched.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Find a good, simple pattern and then go on the hunt for really beautiful fabric. You can't go wrong. A jean jacket is a basic that will always be stylish. Take the time to finish all the seams. And finish it off with beautiful buttons. I did use a smaller than usual size for this pattern . . . it runs a little large.

Love it and the fabric has a great texture. I'll be it looks great on you.

Very lovely. I have been thinking about making a denim jacket for myself. Thanks for the inspiration.

Go for it, Keva1. The pattern I used is out of print, but you can probably find another good one. Such a good wardrobe staple.
