Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Unisex

Style: Funky, Casual

Materials

Stitch and slash project (see my previous photos) and jean jacket (already made).

What are you most proud of?

I lucked out and my project was shaped so that I could center buttons on the back and front pieces perfectly. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the way the back curves, but I figure it adds character.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This is actually only basted on right now; I still need to sew it.

If I had planned to use the project for the jacket from the start, I probably would not have used the fusible fleece. I would have used something less bulky - but it worked out okay anyway.

This is so creative! I agree abut the fleece but it actually might give your back more support! And I too, like the curving on the back. Very sophisticated!

I like the way the back curves. It adds to the overall design. I think it actually helped draw my attention to your piece. Jean jackets are so timeless that when your Grandchild gets to the size where they can wear it they will likely ask for it!
