What materials did you use? old pair of jeans, cotton fabric, pair of "D" rings, cotton thread, machine embroidery thread, sticky stabilizer

What are you most proud of? Another pair of jeans gone from my stash! Recycling!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Embellish the pockets before attaching them to the front. Let your imagination soar! Embroider a saying to go with the ruffle fabric (I used chili peppers and embroidered "Too Hot To Handle" on the top). Make sure you use a bold font on your embroidery machine.

Now that's a really neat apron! How apropos to the kitchen your trim fabric and your embroidered adage.

Question: Pockets: These are not on the existing jeans right? You sewed them on to pant leg at an angle?

Yes- the pockets are sewn onto the apron at an angle. This was a personal choice. You might like to sew the pockets on straight .

Very cleaver....Love the Idea of using an old pair of jeans.

I love this idea. So cute for back yard Bar B Que. Or for super bowl party. Great idea. I don't have embroidery machine but you could hand enbroider the cute saying. Love it.
