What are you most proud of?
Red beaded bird
Wow! The red bird is amazing alone, but this piece invites the view to linger and take in all the subtle detail: the lovely beaded bits, laces, quilting, and piecing. Phenomenal!
Thanks for putting this image up. I just saw it today for the first time! And, it has been a freezing winter in Colorado, too! Hope you are beginning to see signs of spring. What's next? More beaded work?
Thanks for taking the class.
It is second of April and winter is still here.Days and days without sun...Next quilt theme will be Global Warming...
Gorgeous! What artistry and skill you have! You captured the feeling of freezing, white-out conditions, but I especially love the red bird. To me it symbolizes the promise of life and warmth to come. It also reminds me of a beautiful song, "The Rose"; I remember only a few phrases to it: "... far beneath the winter snows lies the seed, that with the sun's love, becomes the rose..." I can't remember who wrote it. Thank you for sharing it!
"The Rose" Bette Midler .Thank you very much
