What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The Block of the Month class is great for a newbie quilter. You'll learn basic skills. If you can stitch a straight line on your sewing machine - you can do this!

Color and dots. How can you go wrong? Looks great. I think this month's project will force me to a decision. Have been auditioning fabrics for a while due to hand in a splint. All the ideas on this site are so impressive. Thanks for sharing.
