What was your inspiration?
These classic mitts are based on the mitts that Jane wears in the 2011 movie version of Jane Eyre. They are crocheted in the round using an open-work pattern of chain spaces and single crochet stitches. A simple picot edging is worked at the cuff.
What are you most proud of?
I love the fishnet look of these gloves and the stretchy versatility.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be sure to keep a somewhat relaxed gauge when crocheting these gloves. Construction is top down with a simple thumb opening.
