What materials did you use? Deb Strain

What are you most proud of? Doing the binding by hand, I hate doing bindings, do not understand the love that some quilters feel for that. I have 9 finished quilt tops with no binding.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Her instructions are so well done, that I think all you need is to play the video several times, and print out the directions, that helps a lot.

Beautiful! You laid out your blocks like I am planning to lay mine out! BTW, the view is gorgeous! Best wishes to your husband in his recovery and you!

Very nice! Love the colors and your layout. Do hope hubby is home and recuperating nicely. Well done!

Thank you for all your good wishes and comments on the quilt, he is somewhat recovered, the quilt was photographed from his room, it had a balcony.

I also sew the front of my binding via machine and then hand stitch the back. With all of the numerous quilts I have at various stages, I try to have one always at the hand-stitching stage and my new routine is that I hand stitch in the evening during my hubby-quality time during the evening (news/movie time). I at least feel like I am multi-tasking and keeping projects moving along. Beautiful quilt! I am finally ready to start this project. I am trying to kick out 5 queen size quilts as Christmas gifts. Two more to go!

Thank you, I love that pattern, the next one will be made with Xmas fabric. Where do you live? We just got back from Germany 7 years, I made this quilt while my hubby was in the hospital recovering from spinal surgery. Not a bad view from his room huh? We are now in Richmond va fully retired
