Sorry Ladymax, I put my comment in the wrong slot! Your block is beautiful, I can't imagine ever getting points like that.

Thanks for your comments. Believe me this is not as difficult as you think. Take your time and follow the instructions. If I can do it, so can you. I have only been quilting for a year and a half.

Dear Denise, I will try putting the blocks on point, that sounds lovely. My daughter is decorating her bedroom round the runner I'm going to make, gulp. I've chosen Papillon by moda, as she did mention French shabby chic a while ago. I'll put my first block up once its done, but don't worry you won't be getting a block by block account! Thanks everyone for your kind words.

I watched this whole class last week while I was in bed with a flu. It was fabulous - I make and sell quilts. I ended up in the hospital with bleeding ulcers but intend to get back to my studio wand put this class to work...this class I'll always remember!

That is a beautiful block!!! Can't wait to do this as well....there just is NOT enough time in the day....I spent all day laundering quilting material I purchased at a garage sale...$40 at the laundry mat...and still not finished so come home and will continue... It had a bit of a musty smell so thought it needed laundering. But once I get this ironed and somewhat sorted???? I am on board!!! I do have the material now!! Am excited with the reviews and the responses from the instructor!!! CRAFTST IS AWESOME!!!

Even the laundering and ironing will come to an end and you can get started with the cutting. You are right, Craftsy is Awesome. I have been on board for little more than a year and over 20 courses. I love it. All of the instructors are great.

Funnily enough, I was looking at this project and thinking it would suit me for using a large stash of charm and matching jelly rolls I have. I also wanted a 'traditional' type of pattern to match with the type of fabric in the pre-cuts (it's 1864 Civil War Moda fabric). I want to do a quilt for my husband and thought the theme of the fabric would be right up his street as he's a great history buff.

Kim is a great instructor. She makes it look so easy. This will not be a flu size quilt, I only make lap quilts for wheel chair patients and babies at a local hospital. Make sure you post pictures of your quilt.
