Instructions
Copied a scarf I had when I was a kid back in the 60's. Still have the scarf. I have seen it called other things.Difficulty:
Category: Knitting
Type of item: Clothing
For: Infant/Baby
Style: Retro / Vintage, Classic
Materials
Red Orlon sayelle yarn from my stash. Purchased at Lee Wards. Old but still knitted well.
What was your inspiration?
Winter is coming soon to MN and Jack needed a scarf to match his snow suit. Jack is 2 and does not like things around the neck if he can find the end he will pull it off. This one can be worn with the tabs under the jacket, so no loose ends!
What are you most proud of?
I remembered the increases and decreases to get the proper points at the end to lock the scarf.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
There are very few rules for this scarf. Change the length or width as you need for each person. I like mine wider so I can fold it in half under my chin and its looks like a turtle neck.
