Here are some details about my project:

What materials did you use? Boucle from linton. I do not remember fiber, I have had material over a year. Lining is silk dupioni.

What are you most proud of? How every thing came together. Wondered at times if it would.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I spent as much time listening to lessons as sewing. Could not have done without the feed back and reading others questions.

Beautiful jacket. I am glad to hear that the class had good instructions. I have the boucle in my stash, but have always been terrified to take on this iconic jacket. Thank you for your post.

This is lovely and the trim you have created is perfect. Thank you for showing us your finished jacket.

This is a beautiful jacket! Did you make the fringe from the fabric, and if so, how did you do it?

I was lucky, the fabric already had fringe on side. One side was larger than the other, so just enough for single row of fringe. I cut it off allowing about two inches, I zig zag close to fringe. Then turned under raw edge and sewed to jacket. Braid was put on top. I ordered two different fabrics from Linton, only this one had ready made fringe. I thought Linton was easy to order from, they would probably be helpful about which fabrics have fringe.
