What are you most proud of? The kids and the parents just loved it! From the back, it looked like a real pumpkin, but the funny face on the other side was ready for a party.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Not a single piece of cake was sculpted with a knife. A thick (1/2") coat of buttercream underneath a thicker than usual coat of fondant (1/4") was used. Then the facial features were sculpted into the fondant by manipulating the underlying buttercream with my hands. Your hands and fingers are the best tools that you have. Don't be afraid to use them.
