My pom poms are bigger than the 1inch suggestion for the mane. Mine are 1 5/8in. for his mane. Also, I used a DPN and stuck it through the head when attaching the ears so that his ears were straight. I did the same thing when attaching the arms/legs. I found it really helped.Difficulty:

What was your inspiration?
I wanted to make something special for my new nephew. My sister in law said she had wanted this giraffe toy that she had registered for but no one got it for her, so I thought instead of buying it, I would make one.
What are you most proud of?
That I finished it! I am notorious for starting projects but not finishing them. I'm also proud of using DPN's. They terrify me (still do) but I am glad I figured them out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid if you have no idea what you are doing, just dive in and figure it out as you go along.
