What was your inspiration?
This was a Block of Month (BOM) Quilt that I subscribed to through a Quilt shop in 2008. I made one block! :-) But since I am DETERMINED to work on UFO's (UnFinished Objects) for awhile - I am SO GLAD that I got this one done! It is 50" x 70" (the pattern is bigger, I was selective in what I used)
It is pieced by Machine appliqued (blanket stitch) and then I added the Machine Embroidery Applique (scarecrows) and some other little Machine Embroidery Designs (bees, canoe, stars, etc)
What are you most proud of?
Have Always wanted to 'CrossHatch' a quilt - and this one is first quilted, outlining each applique stitch - and when complete, did the CrossHatching 1" apart. I LOVE it! (It is SO much cuter in person :-) )
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It takes a LOOOONNNNNGGGGG time to do it - BUT Well worth It!
