Italian Onyx, Gemstone, Copper Necklace

Instructions

Open it back up then wrap 26 gauge wire around the tail of the headpin, pushing it back to cover the loop. Then complete the wrap on the head pin and ...

They are actually copper, and I've had them for years but I believe I got them from Artbeads!

I hear you! It sounds more complicated than it actually is. The coil is actually the finer gauge wire wrapped around the headpin that wraps around itself to form the bail. Then I take the excess wire left from that to continue to wrap around the base.

I had to read it over twice slowly, and think through each step, but then I could actually follow your bail instructions. Good job! It looks like there is also a coil or twist copper spacer worked into the bail, too. Nevertheless, it's very clever and the necklace is a beautiful piece of work.
