What was your inspiration?

I saw a post on a craft blog where the writer had used this technique to put her child's name on his bedroom wall. My daughter's walls were looking a little bare, so I thought I'd try it out. I decided to depict a couple of birds on a tree branch with some butterflies fluttering by

What are you most proud of?

That it actually worked! I love that it doesn't damage the walls either; it just peels off.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The smoother your walls, the easier this is. It's not impossible on a less-than-perfectly-flat surface, but it does take a little more care. This didn't damage my walls at all, but I would still do a little test in an inconspicuous corner just to make sure.

I MUST TRY THIS!! We live in an apartment where we can't paint but i HATE the plain white walls. We have some art and some of those wall stickers but they get a little pricey. This is such a great idea- especially if it doesn't do any damage

Great Idea! im going to modify it a little a get some plain fabric and then iron the birds on it!
