What was your inspiration?
After designing several variations of covers with zip closure, I wanted to make a quick and easy cover without a zipper. This design give my iPad a little padding while it rides in my purse or briefcase with a minimum of bulk.
What are you most proud of?
The combination of materials and construction gives the case nice 'body' so it looks crisp and neat but is still padded for protection. The pattern includes hidding rings to attach a shoulder strap when you want to carry the iPad by itself, or use the case as a small clutch for carrying most anything.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The simple nature of this pattern makes it a great beginner project. Quick and easy to make gifts or items to sell at a craft show, fundraiser or to sell in your shop online.
