is wonderful :D any tips :)

I think the best tip is to use the patterns as a base, but then...follow where the beads lead you! What I usually do when I see a new pattern is try it first like the directions show, and then I do it again letting the beads take the lead (so to speak). Bead embroidery is not only pretty, but it's a lot of fun experimenting with different colors, different edgings and (of course) fringing. So relax and have fun with the process. :)

"Follow where the beads lead you" is great advice, I have Sherry Serrafini and Heidi Kummle's book, and that is what one of them shares that concept in depth. Your work is lovely. I have been doing small projects for the same reason, however a big one is in the plans (if I don't chicken out--lol)! Following the bead! Sandi

How much would it cost to buy these bead embroidery components?

10/28/2013 Flag

Hi, and thanks for the question! To buy the components themselves, or the supplies to make them? Making them doesn't take much, depending on the kind of cabochon you use. Many of the ones in the tutorial have cabs that are around $1 (although the dichroic glass is more expensive). Hope this helps!
