Share a little about the materials, processes and techniques used to create this piece. I used a pencil no longer manufactured: the Bruynzeel 8615 Design pencil, in 3b and 5b, along with facial tissue and tortillons for blending, and a kneaded eraser for highlights. I always begin with a preliminary sketch, and then begin laying on graphite in layers, building up darks and using tissues to blend large areas. Details, such as eyelashes, pupils, lip lines are drawn in.

What are you most proud of? I try to remain humble about my art because I know it is a God-given talent. I am happy that after many years of working desk jobs, I've decided to honor this gift and draw and paint every day for the rest of my life.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Do what you love. And do it your way. Listen to and learn from those who offer genuine advice, but always remain true to yourself.
