What was your inspiration?

Was looking for Christmas gifts for family and friends, and college students (my daughter and her friends). Found the tutorial by Jenny Doan.

What are you most proud of?

I made 67 for Christmas this year! Originally started out with 30 but so many friends asked for me to make for their friends. Used over 12 wonderful colors - so found something for everyone.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be careful of imitation minky. Minky fabric is very good as has a nice stretch. The soft and comfy fabric is decent but not as stretchy as the real minky. I also learned to cut the minky with scissors rather than my cutting board. The fibers from the minky get "stuck" in the cutting board and very hard to remove. I started using scissors and it worked fine. Just take your time cutting the material. And have a vacuum nearby.... the fibers get all over the place!
