What was your inspiration?
Being pregnant with my first child in 1984. I crocheted this sweater and bonnet 27 years ago, hoping to have a little girl for my first child. To my delight I had a handsome boy, and two others followed. Later I had two grandsons. I finally had the opportunity to share it when my first granddaughter was born in April 2011. I can hardly wait for her to be big enough to wear it.
What are you most proud of?
The pattern looked challenging, but it was more basic than I thought and I was successful in completing it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Take your time reading the instructions so each piece matches up to the others while putting them together.
