What was your inspiration?
My love of designing and sewing for children. I love 'grown-up' looks on babies and toddlers. I saw the pattern for the 'layered look' T-shirt and designed the pants and vest to go with the T-shirt. This particular ensemble is size 18 months. It consists of a cotton knit 'layered look', long sleeved T-shirt with faux lizard trim and 'lettuce' hem; tan corduroy pull on pants trimmed in black faux lizard; faux fur satin lined leopard vest.
What are you most proud of?
The whole ensemble. The ensemble is warm and the fabrics are comfortable for toddlers and children to wear. Corduroy is also very durable for children's clothing.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Just go for it. Sewing for the younger set is SUCH FUN!!
