Instructions

Using the paper pieced block instructions, I made the block and then finished it like a mini quilt with batting, backing, quilted it and added binding, just like a quilt.

Also, when I print out the pattern, I print on special paper for paper piecing that is transparent. I have also used vellum. Then you can see where you're placing the fabric on one side and still have the sewing ...

I have a friend who helped me with something and I wanted to make her a thank you gift. She likes tea, I found the fabric, and that's what inspired the project.

Congratulations. I really think the colours you have chosen and the order in which you have used them makes this very striking. I have tried to make these Indian summer blocks. I will now have to rethink the colours. I also think the way that you have added the additional border in the backing material and then the colour border is very effective. Thanks for all the ideas you have shared. I will be using them as I quilt.
