The Quilt shows a scene of the future. Perhaps the year 3535 or even 4545...And as you can see the trees are robust and healthy, the vegetation is lush; the lake water is crystal clear and reflects the setting sun. There are many creatures; various types of birds some exotically futuristic - are evident in the big picture, while reptiles and insects of all types abound in sections of the borders. Also just visible near the bottom edge of the picture, if you look closely, a couple of clues that coal mining and the firing of power stations with coal has long ago become a practice of the distant past....
