What advice would you give someone starting this project?

practice practice practice! and then practice some more. i find i get rusty with a few days off - still need to get stiches in mucle memory!

Your practice piece really caught my eye. I think it would look great as a wall hanging. lol I really like it!

In the test block, It is great. Turning the corners with a feather is hard for me. I love the feathers. It challenges me, and I love to be challenged. another great job.

Feathers and pasely challenge me... They both look strange to me, i'm practicing them on paper during my lunch break...to see if I can "see" them better. Im really pleased with the class I've learned so much.

On the picture where you said first practice, do you see the thread play that is going on in the center where you started then went out to make the circle then came back to the starting point? The thread play makes the quilt beautiful. When I had first done this, I wasnt sure of the design, but when I started seeing all the thread play and the effect it had on a quilt, I love the design now. you are on tract to mastering this design. Great job.

Yep, did you see on my test block that the wondering clover wandered too much LOL....I only for in three fans..I liked doing those they had some good thread play too.

I did see that you did a great job with the wandering clover. I am making feathers on a quilt that I am finishing, and I am getting brave and putting hearts and swirells in the center of some of the feathers. I will post when I get the quilt done.
