What was your inspiration?
Desperation is the mother of inspiration. And I was really tired of listening to that toy snap.
What are you most proud of?
My clever brain. And the part where my kids wouldn't throw this thing out.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
A metal 'expanding toy' would be too saggy. I used a drill to make the holes, just poking them would crack the paint stirrer. This is my quick and dirty solution. And cheap.
UPDATE: 2013 and it's going to be put back together and go back to work! The rainbow aspect of it made some rough days a little more fun last summer. We're getting the band back together!
