What was your inspiration?
I had seen a quilt using this pattern and it really intrigued me because of its complexity. Then I saw another one with many colors and it reminded me of Molas from the Kuna indians in Panama, so while at a quilt show I found the "pineapple" pattern and decided this was going to be my mola. (Molas are made in reverse applique which I don't know how to do yet). So this was my interpretation...
What are you most proud of?
Having been able to put it together in a color scheme would still reminds me of Molas when I see it. I love it.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
I think just patience...it is a bit time consuming.
