What materials did you use? A kit called, "Enchantment" which had the fabrics and easy instructions. Fabric adhesive, 80% cotton, 20% polyester batting, Aurofil thread and a topstitch needle on my old 930 Bernina.

It is beautiful. Did you freemotion the spiral moon? The quilting adds so much movement to your wall hanging. Lovely!

Thanks, Donna! I used Jacquie's technique of echoing in a circle. She has that in her class. You simply use your walking foot around the outside perimeter and work your way in, in spirals to the center. I like the "neat" look of doing lines based upon previous lines, using my walking foot. I agree that the kit would have been pretty flat without the quilting. This is also a good example of how much quilting shows up on simple, light fabric designs.

Hi Donna, I used an "echoing" technique, running the edge of my walking foot around the outer perimeter of the moon and then spiraled in 1/4" with each circle, using the edge of the foot as my guide, until I got to the center. Thanks for the kind words. Mimi

That is spectacular! I love the fabric, the moon and the quilting.

Gorgeous, I want to reach out and touch it. The texture and colors are very pleasing to my eye. I hope you enjoyed quilting like this. I did.
