Step 1. Cut the illusion cord of the desired length of the finished necklace plus about 6 inches extra. String a bead on the cord and position the bead where you want it to stay.
Step 2. Loop the illusion cord back through the bead and pull tight.
Step 3. Leave about one inch /or more, depends on the design you want/.
Step 4. Continue to repeat the process until you are satisfied with the length. Then start on the next strand.
Tip: Make one strand slightly shorter than the other before finally finish your project.
Step 5. Finish your illusion necklace with bead tips /clam shell/: String the bead tip, tie a knot inside the cup portion of the bead tip and add a drop of glue to secure it. Close the bead tip over the knot and add your clasp.
