What advice would you give someone starting this project? divide and then conquer, it was a lot of work.

I believe what I did was trace the baby blanket on tracing paper and the numbered the pieces and built it by verticle rows, one this huge quilt was made, I traced the two pattern pieces again (one for the baby) and one for the rest of the quilt. Cut them out separately leaving a quarter of an inch for hand turning under and hand stitched them to my background. Hope that helps
