What was your inspiration?

"Studlaberg" is the icelandic name for a rock formation which can be seen in iceland in several places: columnar basalt. It is created when hot lava hits cold sea water... the graphic pattern is an abstract version of this rock formation...

What are you most proud of?

the same pattern can look very different depending on the color combination, soon more versions will be posted :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

this is - as far as this type of pattern knitting goes - fairly easy as the repeats for the pattern are almost always only 4 stitches... I am in the process of writing this up for anyone interested...
