What materials did you use? Lopi

What are you most proud of? The finishing. It was a challenge.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Add stitches to the steek, it will give you more control over the finishing.

Thanks. The finishing on the steeked edge was a little difficult to figure out at first. My crocheted edge was to wavy no matter how small a crochet hook I used so I decided to go with a knitted ribbed edge instead and feel good about how it came out. I'm happy the way the mistake stitch rib looked at the bottom edges. It's a comfortable sweater.

I used a knitted rib, also, and did a ribbing for the bottom and cuffs. I love to wear mine, so warm and cozy! I also added three steek stitches instead of one and needle felted the steek stitches before cutting them. It was less scary for me, and it made a nice felted selvedge which had no way of loosening stitches.

Thanks. This was my first Icelandic sweater. I've been knitting a long time and enjoyed learning something new.

What colors did you choose? Your sweater is gorgeous!

Thanks. I bought the yarn through this site. The main color is light blue with the yoke pattern in cream and yellow.
