What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would suggest making a few swatches to try different methods of doing the steeking stitches. If I make another sweater of this nature I will use the backstitch instead of the crocheted stiched up the sides. I did not feel confident that the stitches would keep the knitted stitches secure. I did a backstitch with sewing thread along the edge of my knit stitches as well as doing a duplicat stitch over the button area of croched edge.
