What advice would you give someone starting this project? Due to the many color changes it is a bit more difficult to knit than a two - colored beanie. However, there are at most two colors in one round. There are some good youtube videos for starting fair isle knitting that could help you to get started. I recommend to weave in the ends during knitting by crossing new yarns over the last 10 stitches of the last round and weaving in the tails over the first 10 stitches of the next round via crossing the yarn tail over the working yarn. Then you just have to weave in the starting yarn and ending yarn.

As a knitter and hockey nut, this is awesome!
