There are some good youtube starter videos on fair isle knitting to help you for a start.

I love the baby bears, they remind of that little baby polar bear Knut, I think he was in German y do you remember him? Is baret German for beret then? I didn't know that.

Baretmtze for beret yes. And I remember Knut and also ice bear Flocke (from Nuremberg). Both died suddenly unfortunately.
