What was your inspiration?
This bag was made by request from my daughter. She wanted a bag for her ipad that would also hold her keys, phone, and a book or wallet. She chose this pattern and i added the extra length and width to be sure everything would fit. It was her idea to add the piping to tie in the red piece on the flap, and I think it really adds a lot to the finished bag.
What are you most proud of?
That I kept fixing and adjusting until I was happy with it. I learned how to do piping and adjustable straps in the process.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Don't be afraid to alter the pattern and make it your own.
