I love stitching in NY quilt shop hop patterns

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Cute, Casual

Materials

Free pattern for each row from participating quilt shops in NYS (62 to choose from!). Cotton material, cotton batting, polyester backing, buttons, patches, cotton quilting thread.

What was your inspiration?

I just wanted to travel to the different quilt shops and see all the new projects that I haven't tried yet. It was so much fun meeting the shop owners and seeing all the lovely quilts hanging on their walls.

What are you most proud of?

Finishing! My fingers are a mess from all the pinpricks and jabs. I have to learn how to use a thimble!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Just do it.

I like the bright colors you use in your quilts. So much nicer than browns. To the color brings life to your work. Nice quilt.

I love the variety in this quilt and I'm sure you had a really exciting time finding all the patterns and putting them together.

We traveled to 11 different quilt shops and I chose the 8 rows from the patterns received. I won't show you my credit card bill with all of the purchases I made at the different shops!!! It was so much fun!

Oh - don't talk to me about credit card bills where fabric is concerned - I'd be a rich woman if I'd never taken up quilting!!!
